American Girl Movie Review: American Girl Lea to the Rescue
Today I am going to be reviewing American Girl Lea to the Rescue movie:
Plot: The movie starts with Lea telling her class about how she helped save her dad when on a hiking trip. The whole class thinks it is not true but just then Lea's brother Zac comes into the classroom and says it really did happen. Lea leaves the classroom to talk to Zac and his girlfriend Paula. Paula interduces herself and tells Lea that "I was very exited to meet Zac's baby sister". Paula and Zac are visiting Lea's family in America for a few days before going back to Brazil to check on the animals and try to stop some animal poachers that are taking animals form the rainforest. At Lea's House when Lea's parents meet Paula they think she is nice and are impressed when Zac says that Paula knows a lot about the Amazon rainforest and the changing animal population there. And Paula then says that it is her first time in America and Lea's parents say they are very pleased to have her at their house. Then at Dinner everyone is talking about Brazil and Paula says that she was born in Manaus, Brazil and Lea's mom replies that her Grandfather was from Brazil too meaning that Lea is Brazilian/American. Lea's Mom said that her mom (Lea's Grandma) went to Brazil and worked in an animal rescue clinic in the Amazon Rainforest near Manaus,Brazil and Zac says that it is not far form their Animal clinic. Lea tells Paula about her Grandma's trip to the Amazon Rainforest and how her Grandma met an aboriginal tribe living there in the Amazon rainforest and ate bugs and ants. Lea shows Paula the picture of her Grandma that died not long ago and Paula says she must have been a great women. lea's mom says that Lea knows that hr Grandma must have gotten that story form a hallucination form the anti Malaria disease medicine. Lea's mom also adds that Lea's Grandma gave Lea a sense of adventure and her Grandma's Journals which Lea has read. Paula adds that it would have been very unlikely that Lea's Grandma saw that indigenous tribe as most people in the Amazon rainforest have tried to avoid contact with the outside world because their isolation is important to preserving their culture. Lea says that "It is still a great story". Lea's Dad askes Paula is her steak is cooked well enough and Paula says that she is a vegetarian. Lea's mom yells "Why did you not say something Paula". Paula says it is all right and the vegetables are delicious. About a week after Zac and Paula leave to go back to Brazil Lea's mom gets a phone call from the wildlife centre in Brazil saying Zac went missing in Brazil while being in the Amazon rainforest. They have to fly to Brazil and stay there until the find Zac. Lea's mom askes everyone if they had seen Zac and she goes to a Police station and they Police don't want to help her look for Zac because he is over 18 years old. She finally convinces a Police officer lady to help her look for her son. Then Lea's mom leaves Lea with Zac's girlfriend Paula in Paula's Apartment. Lea grows bored as there is nothing very fun to do and askes Paula if they can go in the city and ask if anyone seen Zac and also look for him. They first stop in a souvenir store and they talk to the owner and ask if he had known anyone that had seen Zac. After the owner of the store says he did not see anyone like her brother Zack they leave and go to the Amazon rainforest area in the city. Lea askes Paula if they can go and se in Amazon rainforest Paula tells Lea that the Amazon is dangerous and people can get lost there but Lea convinces her to do it to find Zac as he probably gone missing there. They enter the Amazon rainforest and they then cross a river and they got into the other side of the rainforest. As Lea is taking some pictures she gets scared by a spider and then Lea and Paula scream and run away. They get trapped in a net probably meant for trapping animals. Then a Aboriginal girl comes and helps them get out of the net by cutting it off the tree. The Aboriginal girl interduces herself as Aki an Aboriginal girl that likes American stuff and the English language and also cell phones. Aki tells them that they can get shelter for the night in her tribe area as it can get dark quickly. Aki chops off a part of Paula's high heels and Paula screams. Aki tells Paula that she did this so that Paula can walk better in the rainforest. Lea, Paula, and Aki and slide down a steep hill on big leaves as walking would be hard. She shows them where her tribe is and then they reach the tribe area and the tribe tries to and attack Lea and Paula but Lea shows them the notebook that has a drawing of a flower on it the symbol of this tribe. Aki also says that they are good and friends too. The tribe recognized the symbol because lea's grandma visited them and she had the same notebook and symbol drawn on it. They help Lea and Paula get food and let them stay for the night. Meanwhile Lea's mom is asking people if they had seen Zac.

Bye everyone- Grace
Personally, I am NOT a fan of Lea because I have been begging for a Brazilian doll but instead they gave us a doll with a last name CLARK?! That visits Brazil instead of having a relationship with it. And she has golden hair. Green eyes. :( She's pretty but not what we were asking for.
ReplyDeleteI like Lea and because she has great looking hair and meet dress. But ok if you don't like her.
