                  American Girl Movie Review: Charissa Stands Strong An American Girl 

Hi and today I am going to be reviewing American Girl Charissa Stands Strong movie:

Plot: Charissa and her family had just moved from Iowa to Minnesota. They moved because of the death of Charissa's Grandpa and they wanted to be live closer to Charissa's Grandma. The next day Charissa's Grandma show's Charissa the new baby Lama and then after that Carissa goes on the first day at a new school. Sonail who is part of the Queen Bees that bully people in the school offers to be a lunch room buddie for Charissa. At lunch Charissa sees that Sonail, Tara, Jayden are like part of some group and they don't really invite Charissa to sit with them at lunch so Charissa heads to the other side of the lunchroom and takes a seat next to a girl named Gwen. Charissa askes Gwen if she is in Charissa's classroom and she says yes and Gwen then leaves the table leaving Charissa to sit alone. Charissa has a flashback about her friend back in Iowa and how they made friendship bracelets. After lunch there is a class and everyone has to do a presentation about something that makes their life special. The teacher picked Jayden and her presentation is about her cellphone and how it makes her life special because it is pink with sparkles and it has 1,003 minutes she can use anyway she wants on her phone. Then the teacher picks Charissa to do her presentation. Charissa's presentation about what makes her life special was about her friends and the picture was her and her best friend Amanda form Iowa and they are all swimming with friends. The teacher says it was a good presentation and she can take a seat. In homeroom class everyone hands out their Valentine's Day cards to each other. Charissa gives Gwen a card with a candy stuck to the card. At their desk in the classroom Charissa sees Tara, Jayden, Sonail make a Valentine's Day card saying that Gwen is a loser girl and no one likes her and put it on Gwen's Valentines Day Mailbox at her desk. The teacher tells everyone to open their mailboxes with their Valentines Day Cards. Charissa opens her mailbox and sees that there is nothing there and Tara and Jayden say that she "didn't get any Valentines cards how sad". Tara got a card form Charissa and says that she likes them store brought not home made. And Jayden tells Charissa to look under the desk maybe the Valentines Day cards fell there. Charissa didn't find any cards under the desk and is upset while the Queen Bees laugh and say that they can't have anyone that didn't get any Valentines join their Queen Bees club. The Teacher says that class is dismissed and that there is a community center swim club. At the Bus outside of the school the Queen Bees start teasing Tyler who is Charissa's brother.  Charissa says they can't be trusted because they are bullies. At home Charissa gives Valentines cards to her Mom and Grandma who like the cards. Suddenly someone knocks on the door and it turns out to be Sonail that has come to apologise and give Charissa her Valentines that she and the Queen Bees took form Charissa's Valentines Mailbox and that Tara made Sonail take them because Tara thought it was goin to be funny. Tara told her to take them home and not tell anyone but Sonail's mom found them and made her give them back and that she is grounded for a week.  Meanwhile Charissa's Dad and Grandma are making Pottery. The next day in school Charissa is sitting at lunch with Gwen and Gwen is about to leave when Charissa gives her her Grandma's cookies. Just then as she is giving Gwen the Cookies Jayden comes and takes them and says they are her favorite cookies. Charissa says her Grandma always packs 2 bags of cookies and gives her another cookie. They eat cookies and Gwen says they are good cookies her Grandma makes. After school Charissa and her Grandma are talking in the Lama barn and Charissa says she misses her friends and  her Grandma says that the best cure for this is to find a another friend that needs a good friend too. The next day at school the teacher asks for the permission slips for swim to be put on the desk. Tara takes the permission slips and gives them to the teacher and askes to takes them to the office but instead the teacher picks Charissa to go to the office Charissa decided to quickly go to the bathroom and then go to the office she leaves the slips on the floor and Jayden or Tara takes it and trashes Charissa's slip meaning Charissa can't join the swim team. Charissa askes Jayden why she did this and she said why did Charissa leave it lying on the floor in the bathroom.

Wow this was SOOO LONG! The reason is because I went more into detail. Anyways:

What was good: I liked how it teaches you about Bullying and what to do if bullied like telling the teacher or an adult. Also it teaches you that you should not bully someone because thy are different like for example the Queen Bees bully Gwen because she and her Mom are homeless further in the movie. 

What was not good: Everything was good and there was nothing I did not like.
