American Girl Movie Review: Grace Stirs Up Success

Hi and today I am going to review Grace Stirs Up Success movie:

Plot: The movie starts with Grace waking up and getting dressed. Then Grace takes her checklist as she is very organized and writes "Bike Race". She then goes out of the house to ride her bike around her town of Bentwick, Massachusetts. After riding for a long time and crossing the river on a ferry she arrives at her Grandma's and Grandpa's Family Bakery. In the bakery Grace helps her Grandma and Grandpa set the tables and searches on her I-Pad for dessert recipes. Grace finds a recipe on her I-Pad and the recipe was Raspberry scones. Grace and her Grandparents get to work making the Raspberry scones and putting in flour for the dough. Grace decides to get something from the fridge. The old fridge starts to shake and Grace's Grandpa stops the fridge from shaking by hitting it with his elbow. Next Grace puts raspberry's into the dough and rolls it and cuts it into small pieces. Then Grace puts the Raspberry scones into the oven the old oven door opens on its own and Grace's Grandpa closes it with putting a rope around the oven. Grace laughs and high-fives her Grandpa. Grace's Grandma makes a cake meanwhile Grace is getting the Raspberry Scones out of the oven. Then the fridge starts to shake again and Grace stops it by hitting the fridge with her hips. After this Grace starts to pack her Raspberry Scones in a box to give to her family and friends. The I Pad then plays an ad for MasterChef Junior. Grace's Grandma says "You should be on that show. You are one of the best bakers I know." Grace replies " You just say that because you are my Grandma." Her Grandma says "No, I am saying that because it is true and also because I am your Grandma." Grace shows her Grandma the Raspberry scones she made and her Grandma says they look very delicious and smell good. And Grace says she hopes Mom and Dad say the same about her Raspberry scones. Grace then takes the box and leaves the bakery saying "Bye Grandma and Grandpa". At Home Grace's parents and brother Josh really loved the Raspberry Scones. Grace starts saying nice things to her parents and her parents ask what is going on. Grace says she really wants a new bike. Grace's Mom askes "What is wrong with the bike you already have, Grace?" Grace says that the reason she wants a new bike is because she and Maddie and Ella (her friends) want to join the Bentwick, Massachusetts bike race at the end of the summer and she will do a lot better in the bike race with a new, faster, cooler bike. Grace's Dad says that "The new bikes are expensive". Grace's mom adds "That if Grace wants the new bike she is going to have to earn money for it herself". Grace starts to wonder how is she going to earn money for a new bike and Grace's dad says that Grace's Raspberry scones are very good. Grace says "That's it! Mom and Dad I need to go." Grace decides to start a baking business. At her Grandma's and Grandpa's bakery Grace tells that idea to her Grandma and Grandpa they think it is a great idea. Grace askes if it would be ok for Grace to bake in the kitchen of their bakery. Her Grandpa says "Of course it is ok, Grace." Grace says thank you to her Grandpa for letting her bake in their kitchen for Grace's baking business. Grandma tells Grace that baking is an important part of their family and that Grace's Aunt Sophie who owns her own bakery in Paris as well and because Aunt Sophie got pregnant with a baby she is getting pretty tried of running the bakery on her own and she (Grandma) wishes she could help her because running a bakery is tough. grace says she really wants to run Grandma's and Grandpa's bakery when she is older. Grandma says that she "Every day goes to check the bakery to make sure the ceiling is still here". Grace and her Grandparents laugh. Graces Grandma then takes out her phone and makes a video asking Grace "Why would you like to run this bakery one day?" Grace says " I don't know. I guess this is just my dream and I love to bake more than anything else. It is like when I am baking time just stops. All I have to do is follow the recipe exactly as it says and I start to think that some magic will happen. I love it and will spend the rest of my life doing it. Grace's Grandparents stop the video and say "Aww". Then Grace says that she only needs to ask Maddie and Ella (her friends) if they want to join her baking business. A few days later at home Grace tells Maddie and Ella her idea about starting a baking business. Then Maddie and Ella get all exited about that idea. She shows Maddie and Ella the poster with the name for their business: The New England Cupcakery. Maddie says that she does not know how to bake and Grace says she will teach Maddie and Ella how to bake. The next day Maddie, Ella, Grace go over to Grace's Grandma and Grandpa's bakery and they taste the cupcakes that they baked. Ella says that "This cupcake is so good!" The girls laugh and the camera shows Red and Blue coloured cupcakes on the table. Ella says to Grace you are a genius and we will all make a fortune this summer. Then Grace's Grandma and Grandpa appear and comment on how good their cupcakes look. Ella says to Grace and Maddie "I wonder who our first costumer will be." Grace then says she know a perfect place to make a ton of sales: At the Baseball tournament between Red team and the Blue team explaining why Grace, Maddie, Ella baked Red and Blue cupcakes. They set up their stand near the baseball tournament and Grace says to Maddie and Ella "Get ready for our Grand opening of the New England Cupcakery".

What was good: I loved everything in this movie from Grace going to Paris to winning MasterChef baking competition and opening her own New England Cupcakery with Maddie and Ella. I also loved cute French Bulldog Bonbon that Grace finds in Paris.

What was not good: There was nothing bad in this movie in my opinion.
